Seminar: Make Music with Me - Using Music Strategies in the Special Education Classroom
“Almost all children respond to music. Music is an open-sesame, and if you can use it carefully and appropriately, you can reach into that child’s potential for development” – Dr Clive Robbins (Special needs education & Co-founder of Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy approach).
Music has been used since time beyond to help children learn. Music has the ability to stimulate attention and increase motivation to participate more fully in other aspects of the educational setting and address development in cognitive, behavioral, physical, emotional, and social skills.
How can we make use of this powerful medium in music to help our students learn in the special education classroom?
